No problem, hehe, we were synchronized @799. Forgot to tell I like the colors and reflection of light in the water.

Usually i hate to say only " I love this one" !!! But i do :p !!
The composition flows well along the arc created by the boats !

when you talk about the blown part you mean the overexposed part or?
just need to get used to the vocabulary,.

thx for all comments,

here it comes...
using the nature as a frame is a good idea, but I'd cropped it tighter. also it's as well overexposed as underexposed. you could have used a little flash to lighten the foreground (frame) and a faster shutterspeed to reduce or avoid the overexposure. and so it lacks of details.
also I'd chosen a lower angle to get more the feeling of depth.
the mood is good but could be improved by adding more saturation.

keep you GOOD works comming!
greets Lenny

this pic is like a deep frozen steak wich is roasted at a very high level: the outside is burned the inside is still deepfrozen and the part inbetween is just perfect :)

I don't like the dark foreground and the overexposed part, just personal;)
I do like the composition and the place:)

I really like the composition and using the foliage as a frame, very nice work. I agree about the blown out (overexposed) parts. It kind of works, but I personally don't like it. It looks pretty good on the building as it contrasts with the red, but it takes all the detail out of the white boat. The white boat also dissolves into the white background, which I think takes away from it as well.
But, as I said, the composition is great! Like Lenn0 said, a little flash might have helped a little. Have you ever tried using a coffee filter to cover your flash to soften the light? It's a trick I read about, but haven't used, yet. Nice work, keep it up!

thanks a lot, for all the constructive critiques,
knowing that it's not one of my best it was more or less an experiment what you guys would think about it.

lol@skunk: you know exactly how sensitive i am about my cooking skills, i should have never told you about my steak, but i also messed up popcorn (3 times in a row), can you imagine?

I like this photo very much because the leaves act as a frame and I think the high contrast (very light & very dark areas) are interesting. But then again, what the hell do I know about photography ;)
So Lenn0 and the others are probably right...
